We have successfully conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for Pillars of Wisdom Academy, marking the official start of this transformative project in Freetown. The event was attended by local community leaders, education officials, and project stakeholders who gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion. This ceremony symbolizes our commitment to building a brighter future through education and marks the beginning of our journey to create a state-of-the-art learning environment for our community.
The foundation of the school has been successfully laid, marking a crucial milestone in our construction journey. Our engineering team completed the reinforced concrete foundation ahead of schedule, implementing proper drainage systems and ensuring structural integrity. The foundation spans 2,500 square meters and includes specialized reinforcement to support our planned two-story building. This robust foundation will provide a solid base for the structure that will nurture future generations of students.
The structural framework of the school has been erected, marking a significant milestone in our construction progress. The steel and concrete framework now stands proudly, clearly outlining the two-story structure. Our construction team has completed the installation of load-bearing columns, beams, and floor slabs according to architectural specifications. This phase included careful attention to seismic considerations and local building codes, ensuring both safety and durability. With the framework in place, we can now visualize the classrooms, administrative offices, and common areas that will soon serve our students.
A critical phase in our construction has been completed with the precise connection of iron rods for the ground floor reinforcement. Our skilled engineering team meticulously placed and welded steel reinforcement bars, creating a robust grid that will provide essential structural strength. This intricate process involves carefully positioning the iron rods to create a strong, interlocking framework that will support the entire ground floor slab. The reinforcement ensures maximum load-bearing capacity, earthquake resistance, and long-term durability, bringing us one step closer to completing our state-of-the-art educational facility.
